CLEARFIELD – During Thursday’s committees meetings of Clearfield Borough Council, Borough Operations Manager and council responded to a recent letter to the editor that ran on GantDaily and The Progress.
In that letter borough resident Richard Cutler claimed that his neighbor had stormwater running into the sewer system. He said he called his state representative and was put in touch with DEP.
Cutler said in his letter, “That was the end of Oct-08 and the stormwater is still going into the sanitary sewer and we are still paying for it.”
Stott said on Thursday that DEP looked at the issue twice. She said that both times they determined that it was Cutler’s downspout and surface drainage that were causing Cutler’s issues.
