Emergency Responders Honored in Solemn Blue Mass

NEW MILLPORT – Law enforcement officers and public officials from throughout the region attended the Fifth Annual Solemn Blue Mass on Sunday to honor area men and women serving in law enforcement and public safety.

The service held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in New Millport was organized and celebrated by the Most Rev. Ramzi R. Musallam, Archbishop, to recognize men and women serving in law enforcement, fire safety, the military and public service agencies.

Receiving recognition during the ceremony for 20 or more years of service were Chief Steve Davis, Officer John Licatovich, and Officer Ed Kerr of
DuBois City Police Department; Chief Don Routch of the Sandy Township Police Department; Sgt. Gregory Neeper and Office Michel Titus from the Clearfield Borough Police Department; and Chief Jeff Fink, Sgt. James Glass, Sgt. Mark Brooks and Officer Mike Morris of the Lawrence Township Police. Retired Chief Doyle Jury was recognized for over 50 years of service with the Clearfield, New York and Tampa Fire Departments.
