DUBOIS – DuBois Area School District’s budget for the next year was approved Wednesday evening by the DuBois Area School Board of Directors.
The next school year will see a budget of $55,566,264. Except changes forced by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania taxes and millage will remained the same. Taxes are $5 per capita tax, $5 personal tax, .5 percent wage tax, .5 percent real estate transfer tax and a $5 local service tax. Millage is 81.45 for Clearfield County and 27.49 for Jefferson County.
The school board also adopted the 2009 Homestead and Farmstead Exclusion Resolution. This resolution outlined some of the income coming into the school district. There is $1.8 million coming thanks to gambling tax funds. The Philadelphia tax credit reimbursement fund is giving the school district to $1,755. The aggregate amounts available for real estate tax reduction is $1,864,541.
