Frenchville Man Suffers Major Injury in Weekend Accident

KATHAUS – A Frenchville man suffered major injuries in an accident over the weekend.

According to state police in Clearfield, Jonathon Lupton of Frenchville was traveling south on state Route 1011. According to police Lupton fell asleep and drifted into the northbound lane. Jason Blocker of Schnecksville was traveling north and steered to the left and brought his vehicle to stop in the northbound lane. Lupton struck Blocker head-on.

Lupton’s vehicle came to rest about 24 feet east of SR 1011.

Lupton suffered major injuries and was removed from his vehicle through mechanical means by the Karthaus Fire Department. Police reported that Blocker was not injured.

Police were assisted at the scene by another member of the state police, the Karthaus Fire Department, Snow Shoe Fire/Rescue and Karthaus Ambulance.
