PSP Announces Results of Eight Month Drug Investigation

PUNXSUTAWNEY – State police in Punxsutawney have announced the arrests of 14 people allegedly involved in drug trafficking

According to Cpt. Kimberly A. Leemhuis, commanding officer of Troop C, the eight-month investigation came to fruition on Wednesday. Leemhuis said a sweep was conducted throughout the Troop C area. The action consisted of officers from the Troop C Vice Unit, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department.

Currently 14 of 16 people who had warrants are in custody. Leemhuis stated that the drugs involved in the case were heroin, cocaine, marijuana and pre scri ption medication.

The following people with warrants were taken into custody:

Brian Cook, 41 of Sagamore
Ronald Cook, 38 of Punxsutawney
Ramona Dunlap, 39 of Punxsutawney
Kenneth Greer, 40 of Summerville
Diane Johns, 27 of Rossiter
Timothy Kerestesy, 20 of Punxsutawney
Richard Kirby, 33 of Punxsutawney
Robert Krolick, 21 of Punxsutawney
Mary McCallister, 51 of Punxsutawney
Kenneth Mitchell, 43 of Punxsutawney
Joseph Sinclair, 23 of Punxsutawney
John Smith, 62 of Punxsutawney
Ashley Wazelle, 26 of Brookville

As of the time of the press release, these two people have yet to be apprehended:

Richard Jordan, 34 of Punxsutawney
R. Lee Shaffer, 51 of Summerville
