Farmers Market Kicks Off in Philipsburg

PHILIPSBURG – The Philipsburg Main Street Program is proud to announce the opening of The Philipsburg Farmers’ Market. The market will take place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Memorial Day weekend and running through Labor Day weekend in the Moshannon Building Parking Lot located between the Allstate Insurance and the Finberg Buildings on the 200 block of North Front Street in Historic Downtown Philipsburg.

Locally grown produce, plants, and flowers will be available in season as well as locally made baked goods, jams, jellies, and more. Vendors include Noah Hostetler, 1 North Front Street, Jill Stone, and others. According to chairperson, Jan McDonald, additional vendors will be added as the season progresses.

The market has been operating since 2004. There is a $5.00 weekly vendor fee to participate and vendors should be aware that if you are selling prepared foods, you must have liability insurance and the appropriate licenses as required by federal, state, county, and/or local government.
