GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – State police and the Goshen Township Fire Department investigated a fire that occurred along Shawville-Croft Highway on Thursday afternoon.
According to police the fire occurred at a structure owned by Shaw Owens of Clearfield. The investigation revealed that the fire originated within the basement ceiling within a wooden junction box that connected the two half-section wiring bundles together. Police said the majority of the fire was contained at the basement ceiling level.
Damage is estimated to possibly exceed $50,000.
