CPCA to Hold Open House for First-Time Homebuyers

CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action will be hosting an open house for two homes available for sale through its First Time Homebuyers Program. Anyone that is interested in purchasing a home of their own for the first time is encouraged to attend this showing.

The open house will take place on May 30 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The houses are located at 242 and 244 South Brady Street in DuBois. Both homes are 3-bedroom dwellings and very affordable. The 242 property is newly remodeled with new wiring, windows, appliances, and energy-efficient gas heat. The 244 property is newly built with new appliances, energy-efficient gas heat, and is partially handicap-accessible and can be made fully-accessible if needed. Interested persons are encouraged to stop by during this time; CPCA will have representatives available to answer any of your questions. No appointment is needed.

If you are tired of renting and interested in owning your own home, now is the time to take advantage of low interest rates and the 2009 $8,000 tax credit available to first-time buyers. CPCA will also be holding a sign up for its Homebuyer Education class, a seven hour free course designed to educate consumers about budgeting and saving, credit, and the home buying process.

If you would like more information about becoming a homeowner, or are interested in the DuBois homes for sale, please contact Tia Lansberry or Jarod Taylor, at 814-765-1551 or 1-800-822-2610.
