Emergency Responders, Community Work Together to Find Missing Boy

CLEARFIELD – Law enforcement and members of the community worked together to help locate a boy who went missing Wednesday.

According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, they received a call for a missing 10-year-old with autism at around 8:30 p.m. Police stated that the boy was at a church function and walked away. Officers and emergency workers searched the Goldenrod area and into Clearfield Borough. About four hours later the boy was found in the RJ Corman rail yard.

Police stated that he was safe and unharmed.

Members fo the LTPD were assisted by the Clearfield Borough Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police-Clearfield, PSP Air Ship Trooper 7 of Altoona, Lawrence Township Fire Department #1, Clearfield Borough Fire Department, Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency, Hyde Volunteer Fire Department, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and numerous concerned citizens of the Glad Tidings Church near Goldenrod.
