CLEARFIELD – Work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27 on PennDOT’s US Route 219 project in the Luthersburg area of Clearfield County. The work zone will stretch from the US Route 322/ US Route 219 intersection in Luthersburg south to the village of Chestnut Grove. New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc. is the contractor on the $3 million project, which is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Monday will bring preliminary work activities, including tree trimming and erosion and sedimentation controls. Other work will include drainage, roadway milling, paving and guide rail installation. Drivers should be alert for flaggers along the roadway, alternating traffic patterns and short delays during daylight hours. Work on the project will be finished in October.
