Detour Coming for state Route 3005/Bell’s Landing Bridge

CLEARFIELD – Work on PennDOT’s state Route 3005/Bells Landing bridge project in Greenwood Township is continuing and a detour around the work will go into effect April 27. PennDOT expects the detour to be in place through early June.

The detour will direct southbound and westbound motorists to use SR 3005 to SR 3016 to SR 729 to SR 969 and back to SR 3005. Eastbound and northbound motorists will follow the detour in the reverse order.

The bridgework zone is located on SR 3005, about a quarter-mile from the intersection with SR 969. Work includes construction of a new bridge, approach work, drainage, and guide-rail installation. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company is the contractor on the $4.2 million project.
All work is weather dependent.

PennDOT reminds motorists to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and detour signs and always buckle up. For more information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT Web site.
