Queen’s for Kids to Hold Fund Fest

CLEARFIELD – Final plans are in place now for what promises to be the biggest fund fest to date. Clearfield County Fair Queen Committee’s 7th Annual music Fund Fest scheduled for April 18 will be held in Expo I at the Clearfield County Fair grounds. The event is held each year to assist the Fair Queen and her court in raising money for their “Queen’s for Kids” program. All proceed raised during the evenings festivities are donated to the Children’s Miracle Network. On Sunday, May 31, 2009, Fair Queen Leah Carr and her court will present a check during the annual CMN Telethon held at Del Grosso Amusement Park. The Queen’s for Kids Program has bee the largest single contributor the past seven years. Their goal is to continue this honorable tradition.

All entertainers appearing will donate their time and talents to provide a memorable evening at a very affordable cost. Performing throughout the evening will be One Lane Bridge, The Moore Brothers, Jax, Marie Levin Reba Tribute, Jerry Schickling and North Country Band, Smokin Joe and the Wildhorse Band, and a surprise unannounced guest.

Bob E. Day will emcee and D.J. during the event. The evening will provide a variety of music to suit everyone’s taste. Beverages and snack foods will be provided from local establishments throughout the evening. Fair Queen Leah Carr and her court encourage everyone to shake the cabin fever blues and come out for an evening of fun and help support a great charity.

Tickets are $12.00 each in advance or may be purchased at the door for $15.00 the night of the event if any seating is still available. Seating is limited so advanced purchase is strongly encouraged. Last years record attendance supports the need for early ticket purchase to ensure entry.

Tickets maybe purchased at the following locations. In Clearfield: Zalno Jewelers, Jim’s Sports Center, Swales Styleline Upholstery, Tan Zone, and Clearfield County Fair and Park Board Office. In Curwensville: Goodman’s Foodliner and Chidboy Funeral Home. In Dubois: Syktich Appliance Store. Among prizes to be given away throughout the evening will be a 14-karat white gold Ruby and Diamond necklace with a retail value of $1,100.00, a 37” HD LCD television valued at $800.00, a numbered autographed lithograph Greg Norman “I Told You So” at the British Championship valued at $1,500.00, an autographed photo of Troy Polamalu, chainsaw sculpture, plus approximately 100 smaller items.
