AUSTEN – Volunteers Needed! Sinnemahoning State Park is presenting an International Migratory Bird Day festival on May 16. The day will include bird mist-netting and banding demonstrations, several different guided bird hikes, free pontoon boat tours, informational sessions and migration activities, and many bird-related kids’ crafts.
The park is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the children’s craft stations. If you would like to spend an afternoon helping children make pinecone bird feeders, window-collision windsocks, build bluebird nest boxes, etc., we would love to have you!
