Pennsylvania Fuels for Schools Beyond Public Meeting

KANE – Pennsylvania Fuels for Schools and Beyond, a statewide working group promoting local, renewable energy alternatives to Pennsylvania schools and businesses, is holding a public meeting on April 9from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kane High School, 300 Hemlock Ave, Kane, PA. Any individual, organization, or business should attend if they are interested in discovering how sustainably harvested native grasses, wood, and energy crops can provide commercial heat at significant cost savings over fossil fuels.

The meeting will provide an introduction to the use of biomass for energy and why it is a good choice for space heat; the technology and equipment used in a typical installation; and the economic cost benefits of selecting such a system. A tour of the Kane High School biomass heating system will follow the presentations. Please RSVP by April 3 to reserve your spot, although walk-ins are welcome.
