CURWENSVILLE – The fourth-place finishers in District 10 will be the opponents for both of Curwensville\’s District 9 champions Friday night in the first round of the PIAA Northwest Region Class AA Wrestling Tournament at Shaler High School.
Golden Tide junior Derek Brothers, seeking his third crown after winning at 103 in 2007 and 112 last year, will meet Ian Chiesa of Northwestern at 112 pounds, and senior Jeff Thomas is paired against Brandon Collins of Commodore Perry.
The quarterfinals are set for Friday at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, wrestling begins at 9:15 a.m. with the championship semifinals and consolation quarterfinals, followed by the consolation semis. The consolation finals will start at 4:15 p.m., with the Parade of Champions at 5:45 and the championship matches at 6.
