Volunteer Opportunity Announced

CLEARFIELD – The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County is a coordinating clearinghouse linking those interested in volunteering with volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are matched with agencies and projects according to their skills, interests, and available time.

The Volunteer Center is a community service program offered to agencies in Clearfield County and is funded by the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. This is a current volunteer opportunity:

Auxiliary Team:
This volunteer opportunity is for men and women of any age who like to be team players. If you like taking part in fund-raising, planning and organizing events, you are invited to become a part of the Auxiliary Team at the DuBois Nursing Home.

The Auxiliary Team works hard to make the lives of the residents in the nursing home the best they can be. They invite you to join them and experience for yourself the many blessings they receive while striving to build quality lives for their residents. Most of the activities and events are provided through the kindness and compassion of volunteers. You can be a part of this team.

Some of the activities that members of the Auxiliary Team provide include reading, playing games and visiting with residents. They also assist with fundraisers and special events. Some help in the beauty shop and assist residents with grooming. Others help with repairing and altering clothing for the residents.

If you would like more information on this or any other opportunities, please call the Volunteer Center at 765-1398 or 1-800-446-5935.

The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County is sponsored as a community outreach effort by the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. and is funded through the Area Agency on Aging, national and state grants, and local contributions.
