PHILIPSBURG – Two area teens who are accused of stealing a woman’s wallet and attempting to use her bank card have been charged in the case, the Philipsburg State Police reported.
Cody L. Shaw, 18 of Clearfield, and a 17-year-old Philipsburg boy will now face charges of theft by unlawful taking, criminal conspiracy, access device fraud and receiving stolen property.
According to the initial report, police said that a 19-year-old Osceola Mills woman had her wallet removed from her purse that was sitting in the employee’s locker room at Weis Market.
Police said that their then suspects attempted to withdraw money from her bank account, using the stolen ATM card at a local machine.
