Three Arrested After Police Called to Nichols Street

CLEARFIELD – Three people were taken into custody following a call to police about a protection from abuse violation on Nichols Street on Wednesday.

According to the Clearfield Borough Police Department 27-year-old Donald Carey was arrested for allegedly violating the court order. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland and placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Police stated that an 18-year-old Clearfield man was found hiding in the residence. He was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Charges against him are pending.

A 22-year-old Clearfield woman was also arrested. She was wanted by the Lawrence Township Police Department. She was arraigned before Ireland and placed in Clearfield County Jail for failure to pay fines.

Police reported that during a search of the residence officers found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

The CBPD was assisted by the LTPD, The Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department and the Pennsylvania State Police.
