Penn State DuBois Collects Books for Africa

DUBOIS – The Campus Activities Board at Penn State DuBois is currently holding a book drive for the non-profit organization Books For Africa. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community are encouraged to bring gently used text books, or fiction and non-fiction books and drop them in one of several collection boxes on campus. Boxes are located in every building to assure convenience to those who participate.

“The program gathers, sorts and ships books to children in Africa,” said CAB member Shannon Kassab.

According to the Books For Africa Program, there is a “book famine” in Africa, leaving children there “hungry to read and hungry to learn”.
