CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department reported that a Clearfield man was discovered deceased along Mt. Zion Road on Monday.
According to Officer Crystal Panebianco the police department received a call at about 9:24 a.m. Monday morning concerning a man along the roadway.
When police arrived they found that the man, identified as 40-year-old Jeffrey L. Bumgardner, was deceased.
Panebianco said the department believes he died of natural causes, and cited a phone call he had made to a friend earlier concerning what he believed to be heartburn.
An autopsy by the Clearfield County Coroner will be performed to determine the cause of death.
