PUNXSUTAWNEY – State police in Punxsutawney reported an accidental shooting death that occurred in Punxsutawney on Thursday afternoon.
According to police 53-year-old Timothy M. Kramer was getting dressed in his garage in preparation to go hunting. According to police a .45 caliber handgun was dropped or fell out of Kramer’s clothes, hit the ground and discharged.
Police stated that the bullet struck Kramer in the abdomen.
He was transported to the Punxsutawney Hospital by Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services. Police said he died at the hospital as a result of the gunshot wound.
