Clearfield-Jefferson ARC Offering New Services for Members of Armed Services

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield-Jefferson Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to announce several new services to members of the Armed Forces and their families: Military members and their immediate families can take health & safety classes, such as CPR, First Aid, Babysitting, Pet First Aid, Lifeguarding and more at no cost through our scholarship program.

Individuals or groups can record video messages to members of the Armed Forces as well. This is done by appointment. You do not have to be an immediate family member for this, all are welcome! All we need is the email address of the soldier so we can send it. If you are a family member of an Armed Forces member, and need help with sending a holiday care package, we can help! We have limited funds for this program, so we are limiting it to one flat rate international box per person. You provide the contents, and we will ship it! Please make an appointment for this as well. The boxes must come in unsealed so we are able to verify that there are no restricted items in there.

For a list of items that are restricted in overseas packages to soldiers, please contact the chapter. These programs are not offered at all Red Cross chapters.

These are being provided through a grant obtained by the Clearfield-Jefferson Chapter Red Cross. For more information on these programs, you can call 814-765-5516 in Clearfield, 814-938-5252 in Punxsutawney or 814-849-2712 in Brookville. You can also email at esd@clearfieldjeffersonredcross.org. Please, help us support members of the Armed Forces this holiday season. If you would like to help with any of these programs, please call or email.
