FALLS CREEK – The Pennsylvania State Police and America’s Most Wanted are partnering to highlight the case of Joey Lynn Offutt in search of new leads. Tune into America’s Most Wanted on Nov. 15 on Fox TV at 9 p.m. to learn the case highlights as the search continues for her and more information is sought concerning the death of her child.
A year-long investigation by members of Troop C of the PSP continues into structure fire that occurred at around 4 a.m. on July 12, 2007 at 90 Dr. Fugate Dr. in the Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County. The fire consumed a large portion of the residence and an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall Unit concluded that the fire was intentionally set.
State police are requesting assistance from the general public in locating the resident of the home, 33-year-old Joey Lynn Offutt, who has been missing since the time of the fire. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, has a thin build, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has officially been declared a missing person and has been entered into the national crime information center data base.
On July 16, 2007 Joey Lynn Offutt’s red 1994 Saturn coupe bearing Virginia registration JXN8871 was located along Waupelani Drive in State College.
As previously reported the remains of an infant child were discovered inside the burned Dr. Fugate Drive residence by state police investigators. Subsequent DNA testing confirmed that the infant is Joey Lynn Offutt’s son, Alexis Alfred Brolin III.
