LT Supers Look to Hold the Line on Taxes

CLEARFIELD – With a planned budget of $2.974 million for next year, Lawrence Township Supervisors announced that the millage will remain at 18.

What allows the township to avoid increasing taxes was some revenue increase at the current rate, but also a reduction in staff in the police department. Nobody was fired but the township decided to keep the staff as-is instead of replacing those who either moved on to other things or had been promoted from part time. This leaves the department with nine full time employees and two part time.
