Curwensville Home for the Holidays Promises Old-fashioned Fun

CURWENSVILLE – Before all of the hustle and bustle that the holidays bring, folks in Curwensville want everyone to experience old-fashioned family fun in a small town that is the true meaning of the holidays.

Imagine a place where businesses will welcome you with old-fashioned service to help you find your spirit. Curwensville welcomes everyone to town to experience this and more for their fourth annual Home for the Holidays.

Plenty of events are scheduled to get everyone into the holiday spirit. From a $1,000 shopping spree contest to crafting, good foods and spirits to great holiday gift ideas, Curwensville has it all!

• 6:30 – 8:30 pm – Evening Light Historic Church Tour of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Grace Lutheran Church, Curwensville United Methodist Church and Curwensville Presbyterian Church. Tour at your own pace. Free. Start at any of the locations. Maps available at churches. Hosts will present brief histories and background of their respective churches.

• 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Historic home tour will be given at the original Samuel Arnold residence at 850 State Street. Owners Don and Denise O’Dell will share their historic restoration of their Victorian home. Free will collections for Orphans of the Storm and Toys for Tots will be taken.
• 10 a.m. – noon Fingerprinting of children at City Drugs of Curwensville. Free. Sponsored by City Drug Store. Coloring contest entries on display.
