Lick Run Bridge Project Update

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT issues the following update on its state Route 879/Lick Run Bridge project in Lawrence Township for the week of June 16:
• Excavation work will continue in the southern end of the project.
• Motorists should remain alert for trucks and construction equipment entering and exiting the work area frequently between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm Monday through Friday.
• Flaggers will be used in the work zone on occasion but delays will be minimal.
• All work is weather dependent.
• Blasting operations will continue through the work week. Traffic will be stopped when blasts are scheduled.
• Structure work will resume.

The contractor on the $11.6 million project is Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College. PennDOT expects work on the two-year project to be completed by December of 2009.
