CLEARFIELD – Angels for Animals, the service provider arm of the Animal Welfare Council, is accepting donations for its annual yard sale all year long and needs animal supplies, too, according to organizer Geremy Kephart.
“From one item to an entire estate, we will take it. We’re fortunate to have storage space to keep everything safe and dry until the big event in May,” she said. AWC volunteers will even sort and package donations and, being a 501 (c) (3) organization, the AWC can provide a receipt for tax purposes, she added.
The recent three-day yard sale at the Clearfield Driving Park was deemed a huge success by AWC members. Proceeds are earmarked for Angels for Animals programs such as replacing inadequate shelter, an emergency medical fund and spay and neutering assistance through area animal control officers.
Angels for Animals is also always accepting dog crates, used dog house, leashes, food bowls, sheets, blankets, fencing, and cat, rabbit, ferret and horse items.
