The GantDaily/Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority spring photo contest will come to a close on Monday.
That still gives shutterbugs time to submit their pictures of people, places and things from around Clearfield County.
“I think we got some great pictures,” said Holly Komonczi, marketing director for the CCRTA. “More than I expected. It’s been great.”
Komonczi said that she hopes to get more pictures of the unique aspects of the county.
“The one thing I can say … the best pictures are the ones you can’t get anywhere else,” said Komonczi.
“The reaction is great,” added Komonczi, who also noted that photos are being used to promote Clearfield County.
Judging beings on June 18.
Five finalists per each category will be selected by an independent panel of judges (provided by the CCRTA) among all entries received. Judging will be based on uniqueness, quality, and ability to capture essence of Clearfield county through each category. Each of the finalists per season will be displayed on gantnews.com for “people’s choice” voting.
(Contest Submissions)
Each winner per seasonal category will have their photographs displayed at the Winkler Gallery of Fine Art in downtown DuBois and will receive a complimentary Curwensville Lake Pavilion rental and 5 lake entry passes. Each of the top 5 finalists per season category will receive a Clearfield County t-shirt.
