CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Supervisors have a message for area residents: the township’s compost site is for compostable items only.
Supervisor Chairman Bill Lawhead said that a pile of construction bricks were dumped at the compost site. This is the second incident of wrongful dumping at the compost site.
Supervisor Fred Redden said that the next incident would lead to the gates being locked and hours being set.
It was noted that a lot of compostables have been dropped off at the site.
“I’m glad people are using it,” said Redden.
