CLEARFIELD – PennDOT will begin a county-wide paving project this week in Centre County. Crews will be working to make base repairs, mill existing roadway, pave roadway and paint new pavement markings. PennDOT expects to start this work on Route 3006 in Bellefonte, with work on nine other routes to follow.
All work is weather dependent.
Traffic control will be in place and drivers should expect to encounter lane closures and minor delays. Completion of the entire project is expected by late August. Contractor on the $2.6 million job is H.R.I. of State College. The state routes included in this project are:
Route 3006 Route 3011
Route 3022 Route 26
Route 3023 Route 45
Route 3039 Route 53
Route 8036 Route 150
PennDOT will issue updated information as crews move to a new roadway within the project. PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle up.
