Pay it Forward Event to Benefit Wounded Veterans

CLEARFIELD – Wounded veterans will be receiving some help with through the efforts of the Pay it Forward Challenge.

A benefit will be held on May 16 at the Smokehouse in Curwensville to help wounded Veterans.

The event will feature music from recording artist Jerry Schickling, winner of the 2006 Starliners artist of the year award. Jerry will be performing a selection of country and patriotic favorites with his talented North Country Band.

Opening for Schickling will be the Girls from the USO, a tribute to the music of WWII. Performing will be Brenda Weber, Heather Olson, Bobbi Sopic and Deb West with announcer Mark Sopic of JM Studios. Featured songs will include Chatanooga Choo Choo, Swing on a Star, It’s Been a Long, Long Time and more.

Seating is first come, first serve. Snacks will be available as will a cash bar.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door. All proceeds will benefit wounded Veterans.
