Curwensville Man Waives Hearing on Burglary Charge

CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville man waived his right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of burglary on Wednesday.

Daniel Weaver is charged with Burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Court records indicate that Weaver was involved the burglary of a Bradford Township man’s home. It is alleged that Weaver and other accomplices stole four handguns, some cash, an I-River Mp3 player and a gold tennis bracelet.

After the burglary the men reportedly went to Delaware where Weaver had connections. It is alleged that Weaver and his accomplices sold the weapons for cash and/or drugs.

Weaver told police that he was in the vehicle when the burglary occurred but that he did not go inside. He told police that he helped get rid of the guns by introducing his accomplices to his associates.

Weaver is currently incarcerated in Clearfield County Jail.
