DUBOIS – Julie Stewart of the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group announced the businesses that won facade grants at Monday night’s meeting of DuBois City Council.
The façade grant program runs for four years. According to Stewart the grant is a 50/50 matching grant, with businesses having the option to ask for up to $5,000.
This is the first year of four that the DuBois Main Street Program will administer the façade grant. Each year the DuBois Main Street Program gets $30,000 to administer through the façade grant on a first come, first serve basis.
The businesses or areas awarded grant money were the Giancarlo’s, Maggie Mae Mercantile, PA Academy of Cosmetology, Jack’s Men’s Wear, the Rice Building, Luigi’s Ristorante and Merle Norman.
