CLEARFIELD – R. Chris Maney has been appointed to the position of PennDOT Centre County Maintenance Manager, according to PennDOT District 2 Executive Kevin Kline.
“We are pleased that Chris will be able to use his vast transportation experience to benefit Centre County residents,” Kline said. “We look forward to our Centre County operation making continued gains under his leadership.”’
In his new position, Maney will oversee the efforts of nearly 110 employees in Centre County charged with the day-to-day highway maintenance activities of 653 miles of state-owned roadway and 431 bridges.
Maney has been with the Department for over twenty-two years and most recently served as an Assistant Highway Maintenance Manager for Centre County. During his career, he also served as Highway Equipment Manager for PennDOT’s Mifflin/Juniata County Office and as Roadway Programs Coordinator in PennDOT’s Centre County Office.
Maney holds an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State University. He and his wife Lucy and their family reside in the village of Zion.
Maney will officially began his new duties on April 26.
