State College Man Waives Hearing on Sex Crime Charges

CLEARFIELD – A State College man waived right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday on statutory sexual assault charges.

Franics Condon, 27, formerly of Kylertown and now State College, is charged with two counts of statutory sexual assault, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual assault, two counts of aggravated indecent assault, two counts of indecent assault and sexual abuse of children/possession of child pornography.

According to court records Condon had sex with a 13-year-old girl. He related to police that he met the girl online. He said that her MySpace page said that she was 15 or 16.

When police told Condon that the girl was 13, Condon replied, “Wow.”

Condon also told police that he had never fooled around with girls that age.

“I’m not going to pretend I didn’t have sex with her,” Condon told police. “I know I’m wrong and you have my full cooperation.”

Both Condon and the girl said that they had sex twice.
