CLARION – Jamie Bero, assistant director of campus life at Clarion University, will be traveling with The Redding Brothers as their sound technician when they travel to the Middle East entertaining the troops.
The April 29-May 23 tour will include stops in Kyrgystan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Djibouti, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
The Redding Brothers, Micah, Josiah and Gabriel, have had their sound compared to Barenaked Ladies and Matchbox Twenty. They got their start playing in small-town venues in West Virginia in 2003. From there, they took their style of rock music on the road, performing at clubs and college campuses across the country. Along the way, they’ve performed with several national acts, including Sister Hazel, Gin Blossoms and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. They have released two full-length albums “Wisdom of the Green Shag Carpet,” and “The Physics of Immortality.”
“We are really looking forward to playing for the troops in Southwest Asia,” said Micah. “We want to bring them some good American rock and roll. Our brother is in the Marines and he spent time in Iraq. His experience is what got us interested in going over there to share our music with the men and women who are far from home.”
