PHILIPSBURG – Eugenio Albano of New Hope, New Jersey will be at J.H. Philips & Company, Cafe & Gift Shop Monday April 21st for a book signing from 5pm-8pm. A native of Philipsburg, Gene, as his friends and classmates call him has written his first book since retiring from his real estate career. Gene is a 1957 graduate of Philipsburg High School. He moved out of the area to raise his family and begin his real estate career in New Jersey after three years of service in the U.S. Army, during which he was stationed in France. He has always had a passion for France and is moving there to continue his writing career later this spring.
The novel, “The Widow’s Web,” is a a novel of human interest surrounding the life of a young woman who finds herself a widow after only seven months of marriage. The novel was first conceived sixteen years ago, however Albano says that it wasn’t until he retired that he had the time available to resume his writing.
Albano begins a book tour in Paris in May and has already received favorable reviews from those who have read the book. Reviews may be viewed on his website: www.albano-thewidowsweb.com.
Albano has a second novel scheduled for publication this year, which is based upon his experience with the U.S. Army in France in the early sixties. He is also working on the companion novel to the “The Widow’s Web” which is scheduled for publication by the Spring of 2009.
