DUBOIS – The Sandy Township Police Department reported that charges were filed against a woman after her child was found near a roadway on Jan. 10.
According to the report, the 2-year-old child was found along state Route 255 by himself. Police said that the 30-year-old woman was found hiding in her closet to avoid police contact. Police further reported that the woman was sleeping when her son wandered from the home, and that she was unaware he was gone until police came to the home.
