Houtzdale Man Arrested for Threatening People with a Rifle

HOUTZDALE – Clearfield-based state police arrested a Houtzdale man accused of threatening two people with a rifle early Sunday morning.

All three people  were in a vehicle together on a private drive of of state Route 253 when the 18-year-old Houtzdale man got out of the car and into the trunk. Police stated that he got the rifle from the trunk then went to the driver’s side of the vehicle. The man reportedly pointed the gun at the 19-year-old Houtzdale woman and 20-year-old Madera man. Police say the Houtzdale man threatened the other two, stating that he was going to kill them. He then fled the scene.

The man was later located and placed in Clearfield County Jail while awaiting arraignment. The investigation into the incident continues.
