Penn State DuBois and Santa Raise Nearly $1,500 for Make a Wish

DUBOIS – Penn State DuBois Student Government held its 13th Annual Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 8. Nearly 400 people turned out to the event, including children and their parents.

Children had the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause, and tell the jolly couple what they want for Christmas. Games, prizes and gifts were also available to the kids, before they sat down for breakfast.

In all, the breakfast raised almost $1,500. Proceeds will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation. Since 1980, Make a Wish has given hope and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions by making their wishes come true.

“Because Make a Wish does so many wonderful things for kids, SGA chose years ago to make them the charity that receives the Breakfast with Santa donations,” said Student Life Coordinator, Marly Greeley. “It seems to be a Student Government tradition.”
