Man Arrested on Drug Charges Waives Hearing

CLEARFIELD – A man arrested on Nov. 8 as part of a drug investigation waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Bradley Parks, 21, is charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, endangering the welfare of children and related charges.

Parks’ arrest came after police pulled a man over on Airport Road. Court records indicate that the man appeared nervous and unsteady. While patting the man down the investigating officer noted something in one of the man’s pockets. The officer asked the man what he had in his pocket, and the man replied that he did not know.

The officer noted that he could partially see in the man’s pocket and that he saw packages of heroin. In all, 15 packages of heroin stamped “Boss of Bosses” were recovered.

That man gave a written statement to police that he purchased the drugs from a man staying at the Hampton Inn. A confidential informant was then sent to purchase heroin from the room. After he did, police obtained a search warrant for the room.

A number of people were in the room when police arrived. Parks was one of them. Also present in the room was Parks’ child. The child reportedly had diaper rash.

During the search police found more heroin, stamped “First Class” and “Black Label.” Also found was a small glass pipe and a small bag of marijuana.

Court records indicate that when Parks was found he had $654.

Parks reportedly told police that all of the heroin in the room was his, as was the marijuana and the pipe. Parks reportedly admitted to selling heroin to the man police pulled over on Airport Road. Parks also told police that the man would purchase the heroin from him and then resell it.

Parks is currently being held in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of bail.
