Jaycees Plan Annual Christmas Parade

Clearfield– Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without the annual Jaycees parade in downtown Clearfield.

This year’s parade themed “Christmas Past, Present & Future”, will step off December 1 at noon. The parade route will continue to be the same as it has in the past beginning on the Corner of Cherry and Second Streets and rounding the streets of downtown.

Parade chairperson Danielle Stuart said last year’s parade was successful in terms of the number of children served at the post-parade events held at the library, however the Jaycees would like to see the number of float and marching entries in the parade this year.

The Jaycees put a lot of effort into this project every year because it focuses on children and members want the festivities to continue for the kids.

The Jaycees not only organize the parade but organize the after events to include free entertainment, free refreshments for the children as well as a special gift from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Groups, organizations and businesses are encouraged to enter a float and participate in the festivities this year. For more information please contact Danielle Stuart at 577-2007 or email mailto:clearfieldjaycees@yahoo.com
