LT Sergeant Retires After 28 years of Service

CLEARFIELD – After 28 years of service, Sgt. James Dohner of the Lawrence Township Police Department retired on Wednesday.

Lawrence Township Police Chief Jeff Fink had nothing but praise for Dohner.

“He was a good police officer,” said Fink. “He was one of the best interrogators I’ve ever seen.”

Fink commented that Dohner was so good at interrogation he could get a rock to confess.

Fink said that he and Dohner joined the force around the same time. He added that Dohner has been a great help to him.

“I’m going to miss him,” said Fink. “He’s a great guy.”

Fink said that as part of their contract, the force will promote another sergeant.

A banquet will be held in Dohner’s honor at the S.O.I. in Clearfield.
