Accident with Emergency Vehicle Leaves Four Injured

DECATUR TOWNSHIP – An accident between a Chevy Blazer and an emergency vehicle on Wednesday afternoon left four people injured.

According to Clearfield-based state police, Melissa Pritchard of Grassflat was traveling west on U.S. Route 322 when she stopped to make a left turn. A Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services vehicle driven by Bobby Jo Dunlap of Winburne was also traveling west on U.S. Route 322, transporting a patient to the Clearfield Hospital emergency room.

Police stated that Dunlap attempted to pass Pritchard but the two vehicles struck in the east lane of travel. The emergency vehicle traveled off the north berm and came to rest in a swampy area. Pritchard’s vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane.

Dunlap, passenger Freddie Ferguson of Morrisdale and patient Stephanie Greene of Kylertown reportedly suffered unknown minor injuries. Pritchard suffered a minor injury while her passenger, a child, reportedly suffered no injuries.

Police report that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
