CLEARFIELD – Motorists may experience delays along Interstate 80 westbound in Clearfield County as roadwork winds down this month.
The westbound (right) travel lane will remain closed from mile marker 138 near the Viaduct Bridge to mile marker 133 at the Kylertown exit, as crews work to complete paving along this section. The lane closure will be in place through Sept. 21. All work is weather dependent.
The entire project has included milling, paving, and guide rail improvements, with the work zone stretching from the Clearfield/120 exit to the Centre County line at mile marker 138 (Viaduct Bridges).
Next week, crews will work eastbound and westbound through the entire project to complete bridge repairs, mill shoulder rumble strips, and place new markers. All work will be during daylight hours and is weather dependent. Motorists could experience delays.
The contractor on the $12.3 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. PennDOT expects work to complete before the end of the month.
