CLEARFIELD – The Budget Inn in Lawrence Township sustained moderate damage to the brick frame and foundation after an Allport woman ran into it Thursday night.
Lawrence Township Police responded to a one-vehicle accident along U.S. Route 322 at 10:56 p.m. Thursday to find that a vehicle driven by Kelli Ann Peters of Allport struck the motel after trying to avoid a deer on the roadway.
Peters said a deer ran out in front of her, but she pressed her pick-up truck’s gas instead of the brake. She lost control of the vehicle and traveled into the Budget Inn.
Neither Peters nor a passenger in her vehicle were hurt. The truck Peters was driving sustained minor damage.
