Registrations Still Being Accepted for Workplace Gamz

CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action’s annual Workplace Gamz fundraiser is quickly approaching. This year the games are being held on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Gamz will be located at the Expo I Building, Clearfield Fair Grounds in Clearfield. Due to the many construction improvements happening all over Clearfield, Community Action has made this year’s theme “Gamz Under Construction.”

CPCA Workplace Gamz allows co-workers to come together for a great cause, build team relations and to have a great time. Everyone is invited to sign up a five-person team (be sure to list an alternate). Participation will help the 16,000 disadvantaged individuals CPCA serves yearly in both Centre and Clearfield counties with affordable housing, employment training and placement, case management, food services, weatherization, housing rehabilitation, heating and utility assistance and transportation service.

To participate, put together a team of five people (plus one alternate) from your workplace; there may be more than one team per workplace. Each team should have an original name, team names will be judged based on creativity with an award. The team will need to gather pledge donations with a minimum entry donation of $300 per team. This year most of the games will be related to road construction environments and will have different point values. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. In return for your efforts, each team will receive lots of laughs, bragging rights and the pride of supporting Central Pennsylvania Community Action Inc.

Thus far there are five teams that are planning on competing in the games. If you would like to register a team for this event, call Melissa at 765-1551.

Central Pennsylvania Community Action is a nonprofit organization that strives to meet the needs and promote self sufficiency for residents in both Centre and Clearfield County.
