Nathaniel D. Yingling M.D. Cancer Center Receives Bookcase

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing Alumni recently donated a bookcase to the Nathaniel D. Yingling, M.D., Cancer Center of Clearfield Hospital. The bookcase was placed in the waiting room and will be used to display educational material for patients.

According to Eleanor Bodle, president of the nursing alumni, the donation was made in memory of the late Mabel Bechdel Bortot, who was a member of the Class of 1941. Bodle said Bortot’s son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Bechdel, approached the alumni with the idea several months ago, and assisted with funding. Shown, from left, are Dona Hawkins, nursing alumni; Talon Condon, director of nursing for Clearfield Hospital; Bodle; Dr. Joseph Padolick, medical oncologist; Joan Learish, nursing alumni; and Kelley Hoffmaster, director of medical oncology for the cancer center.
