DuBOIS – The date for a walk for awareness of brain tumors has been set as Oct. 13. It will be held at the DuBois City Memorial Park.
The event is being organized by Lori Silk, a brain tumor survivor. She would like more survivors of brain tumors and families of those who have been affected to contact her.
The event is not a fundraiser. It is part of an international awareness campaign created by International Brain Tumor Alliance. It will be the only walk of its kind for the state of Pennsylvania.
