BROOKVILLE – DuBois-based state police took 10 people into custody in Brookville on Monday after it was determined they were illegal aliens.
The 10 were encountered during a traffic stop. Police stated that they failed to provide acceptable evidence of their right to be in the United States. Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were contacted and determined that all 10 were unlawfully in the United States. ICE took the 10 into custody.
Nine of the 10 were from Mexico while the tenth was from Guatemala. Their ages ranged from 15 to 27.
